Q: What food did the ancient Egyptians eat?
A: Ancient Egyptians mostly had bread, barley, and olive oil. Wheat and barley were fermented to make porridge or soup. Beer was also made from fermented barley. Egyptians made beer jars when someone was mummified so that they could also have beer in the afterlife. Egyptians also ate some meat such as lamb, mutton, and pork.
