Q: What are some theories about why the pyramids were built?

A: One theory is that workers put limestone blocks on top of each other to build the pyramids. Another theory is that the pharaohs themselves built the pyramids. I think that the workers built the pyramids and the pharaohs were in charge of how the pyramids were built. The pyramids were built as tombs for the pharaohs and their wives. They started using pyramids instead of just tombs because unlike, tombs, pyramids were well guarded and prevented tomb raiders from breaking in and stealing the pharaoh's possesions.
